Initiating counseling can be a nerve-racking decision if you've never done it before. Here's an outline of what counseling looks like to help ease your mind:
Upon scheduling, we will spend our first session gathering a lot of the details about the circumstances that brought you in. We will identify the symptoms you're experiencing and some background information. We will also identify some of your end goals for counseling so that we have a good direction for where we are going. After the initial session, we will create personalized sessions that work best for you. I'm flexible and open to feedback and I want to use our time to best serve you. Once you feel like you've achieved what you want out of counseling, we can decide the best way to end services together.
Please bring your insurance card and any necessary authorizations to your first appointment.
Late cancel/No shows
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel in under 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, there will be a $75 late cancel fee. If you do not attend your appointment and have not called to cancel, the full session fee will be charged.
